Product barcodes are a string of number that adheres to global standards that enables the selling of any product worldwide. To prevent duplicate and ensure the authenticity of the barcode, it should contain GS1 Company Prefix (assigned to the brand), Item Reference Number (by the brand owner), and the Check Digit.
